The latest indication from the Government Digital Service (GDS) is that the Public Sector Network (PSN) could close down as early as 2023.

Organisations have been mandated to migrate to modern network solutions which offer more competitive commercial terms, increased security and greater flexibility. Many organisations lack the resource or expertise to manage this transition without disruption to services or users, spiralling costs and delays.

This seminar session, delivered by Justin Day, CEO & Co-Founder, Cloud Gateway and Mark Simms, Public Sector Lead at Equinix took place at the Government ICT Conference in January 2021 and tackled some of the key challenges created by the closure of the PSN, including:

  • What the latest guidelines from GDS mean for you
  • The need for urgency
  • Next steps and the challenges that lie ahead
  • Future-proofing the network
