- What has HMRC learned from its vital IT deliveries over the last 12 months?
- What areas of technology have been brought into focus?
- How is HMRC innovating and building on what it has learned?
To give some perspective, in 2019-20 HMRC brought in roughly £628 billion in total revenue, with a further £34.1 billion coming through additional tax from compliance activities.
HMRC is already a digitally-focused organisation, with a record-breaking 10.4 million people doing their income tax self-assessment forms online. This represented 94% of the self-assessment population.
